Common Sense

The front page of todays NYtimes reads: "Pentagon aims to shift inmates from military base".
I wrote about this situation coming up earlier; as I'm sure many also expected this outcome. The reason inmates were put on the Gitmo base in the first place was that the executive branch of the United States federal government wanted to imprison "Terror suspects"(translation: Muslims) OUTSIDE of the jurisdiction of the US federal court system.

The Supreme court did not fall for it and actually decided something right, despite Scalia and Rehnquist still being on the bench. They said that these individual had to get a trial or be released. The conservative media went crazy talking about how this would release terrorists in to the wild and bedlam would pervade. The truth of the matter is if they don't have enough evidence to go to trial on, then the person is most likely not a terrorist. Just like you and I(The average US citizen) we cannot just BE imprisoned, there must be evidence presented at a trial and heard by an objective(in a perfect world haha) judge and jury. That is the standard I feel comfortable with, and NO these individuals are not US citizens, so by law they didn't have the same rights. After that supreme court case though, the precedent has been set, if we take control of a bunch of people that are not POWs(or the bullshit legal fiction they tried to create "enemy combatants") they need a trial. The constitution says PEOPLE not CITIZENS.

But that's in the past what I had surmised is that the executive branch would drag their feet on the Gitmo detainees. It turns out they found an even better solution. This way they will be 100% sure that the federal court system will not ensure that these HUMANS have HUMAN RIGHTS. They are exporting them to Saudi Arabia and other countries, where they will undoubtedly be tortured. Not only that but the CIA will probably still have access to them so that the US can keep torturing(its hard to quit cold turkey).

The thing that pisses me off is the fact that they are getting away with it. They first put them in Cuba because they thought that the courts couldn't reach them, but federal sovereignty by pure COMMON SENSE(and stare decises) extends to military bases, territories, provinces, native reservations, and embassies. So after the exec is shut down by the supreme court here is the plan:
1. Wait for the PR to cool down, it only takes about a month or two for people to forget whatever was the hot media topic(prisoner torture, tsunami, bush's draft dodging, etc).
2. Slowly at first start moving prisoners to other countries that have close operational relationships with our military and intelligence apparatuses.
3. The mass exodus, move everyone that would get released for lack of evidence to these other countries(like Saudi Arabia). Because of number 2 it will look like the precedent has already been set and because of number 1 your average American will not make the connection between this movement and the court decision.
4. Keep the people you have evidence on in Gitmo give them trials and in foreign countries continue to torture other individuals that are most likely peaceful civilians(because if they weren't the evidence would be there to go to trial on).

So years from now if they start sending American citizens to Saudi Arabia for interrogation by US corporations specializing in torture(like Titan Corp. In Abu Ghraib), we will know how the precedent got set.
What to do now? I don't know
Dissent is now treason and individuals who exercise their right to peaceably assemble are quickly gassed and jailed.
So I end with one of my favorite quotes that I have put up in this blog before, but it still never gets old.

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, only make violent revolution inevitable" -JFK

That Cog Dee

Ok so this shoulda been posted awhile ago, but its pretty funny. I just keep thinking about it and the people that i've told always suggest I tell someone else.
Both stories are related, the first one kinda lets you enter the mind of a christian-conservative/neo-conservative/facist, the second sums up the across the board assumption of all people who support war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Ok so I live near Chicago and a week or two before nov. 2 I was riding the train in to school. This elderly lady with a slight east european accent(not sure what nation) walks up to me with an air of haste around her. Turns out she is a political activist and very passionate about what she is doing, probably organizing with her church.
The woman says to me "Here I have to give you this[flyer]. We have to get young people to vote for Alan Keyes and George W. Bush."
"I can't do that" came my response.
"Oh don't say tha-" she said
"-Does that say 'pro-life for George W. bush' on that flyer?" I asked taking notice of the heading.
"Yes, pro life" she replied
"Were you aware that George Bush while Governor of Texas executed more people than any governor in history and he didn't even finish his 2nd term?" I inquired
"That is not true" came the reply.
I was dumbfounded, I thought for a few seconds "how could I prove this" I realized that I could lecture her or tell her to read. Neither of which would likely help her opinion exist outside a vacuum. So I chalked it up to another individual who let faith overwhelm reason, and if a person is not reasonable, you cannot debate them.
"Well there is little I can do if you don't accept facts" I said over my shoulder as i started walking down the steps towards the train platform, as it could be heard on its' approach.

I have also been trying to drop some knowledge on the facists over at collegeconservative.com, after I heard they got hacked I went to check it out. The host put up an open letter bitching about socialism. The first thing I saw when I got to the website is an article talking about how Abu Ghraib isn't that bad and the "liberal" media blew it out of proportion. The article espouses an ideology that liberals would want to give the prisoners a room at a posh hotel(as if that is the only alternative to violating the geneva conventions).
When the debate has an attempt by a conservative to mix the colors and make it a wash(which is always the case, like the guy who responded to my post on college conservative with an ad-hom insulting this site you are currently reading for grammar or something[like i'm an english teacher or give a shit, my speech.writing is real]). The easy way is to not bombard them with all the contradictions, but stick to the central meme that has ample evidence and an aversion to conservative's moral equivocation.
So I posted it up: United States Soldiers Sodomized Children on videotape.

The answers were what i told you: an ad-hom about my site, a general bitch about socialist theory guy, and one person who quoted another's post "If torturing an Iraqi will save a GI"s life then black is positive red is negative".

Then I realized this is not an argument, this does not even apply to my abu ghraib meme. This is a general value judgment that conservatives would rather see an Iraqi die then an American(I'd like to see if we could make their head explode by changing the options to: a young black GI and a white christian Iraqi LOL).
I realized that I didn't want to see either of them die or get tortured. One thing I do know though is based on what tiny information I have: the CIA is the Michael Jordan of torture. Death would be preferable to all who will have to go through the CIA's codified torture methods.
My assumption is that GI's are given orders by those in power. GI's choose to be GI's because most of them have very little other choice(college money or second chance at life or whatever). They are killed as much by Iraqis as the Americans who send them to die.
This is the fundamental divide between a facist and republican-democrat. They see war and they ask "why did 1000 people die?" they're response is that Iraqis are animals that killed them and hate us because of 911.
My belief is that it is because they were sent there by chicken-hawks, then the chicken-hawks are responsible for their death.

the entire meme can be summed up very easily: Collective Punishment.
neo-conservatives/facists believe in collective punishment. They actually believe(this is important, because history books won't say this), they actually believe that Islam blew up the world trade center. They believe that Muslims were responsible so all Muslims should be punished. If you remember the rise of the third reich there was a strong belief in collective punishment for the jew the power to really start enforcing such beliefs from the top-down provided itself after the burning of the reichstag.

I do not believe in collective punishment. I tend to ascribe to a Benthamesque vision of justice and punishment. I think only INDIVIDUALS who are responsible for crimes should be punished.

-Jimothy J. Jones

p.s. Can anyone tell me why i'm sorrounded by so many people that are pro-torture? Do they just have no empathy? or are they androids like a Philip K. Dick novel?

operation Northwoods(the government planned on using terrorism to get the public behind a war with Cuba[the document refers to the sinking of the Maine before the spainish-american war and insinuates this was done for the same reason of motivating the "democracy" to go to war]): http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/news/20010430/

Iran-Contra proved that the federal government of the United States of America is involved in drug smuggling. Where do they smuggle drugs you say? where else, the United States(specifically South Central Los Angeles). So here is the reasoning The CIA would hire criminals to engage in crimes, the sale of arms and the delivery of "humanitarian aid" and do you think these criminals would fly back in to the United States (gauranteed not to have to mess with customs) without some sort of contraband????:http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB113/#1

At the top of the hierarchy they all knew that they were smuggling drugs in to the country in order to fund a brutal terrorist group in Nicaragua and use Iran to exacerbate the Iraq-Iran conflict that we are using today to justify the invasion of Iraq(specifically the Halabjah mustard gas incident. Here are theories on how high the knowledge went and the fact that our government has made drugs illegal and then imports them(where do they import them you say? obviously where a great deal of poor minorities are duh![Don't you hate these NarcoPolitricks?]): http://www.bwbadge.com/bush.htm , http://www.parascope.com/mx/articles/garywebb/garyWebbSpeaks.htm
http://www.afn.org/~dks/i-c/x-discourse/draper.html

Why do we care about Iran-Contra in this modern day and age? Because our new administration is just recycled iran-contra drug smugglers http://www.thenation.com/doc.mhtml%3Fi=20020311&s=corn
(remember Ollie North went on Fox news' Hannity and Colmes to try to "clear his name"(this is a euphemeism for mislead/lie to the american people to get them to believe he wasn't a known accomplice to massive drug smuggling operations)[Although North lost the election this is another example of Fox News being an agent of right wing propaganda even to the point that they will knowingly lie about an individidual responsible for a massive influx of cocaine in the mid-1980s, some argue this influx caused the 1986 crack epidemic in LA{including Gary Webb and many other sites: http://www.csun.edu/communications/ben/news/cia/ }]

Want Ashcroft to put you in a camp?????

The CIA and drugs: http://www.csun.edu/CommunicationStudies/ben/news/cia/
"In my 30-year history in the Drug Enforcement Administration and related agencies, the major targets of my investigations almost invariably turned out to be working for the CIA." --Dennis Dayle, former chief of an elite DEA enforcement unit. FROM: Peter Dale Scott & Jonathan Marshall, Cocaine Politics: Drugs, Armies, and the CIA in Central America, Berkeley: U. of CA Press, 1991, pp. x-xi.

Never forget that according to the National Office of Drug Control Policy as published in Samuel Walker's book "Sense and Nonsense about crime and drugs"
74% of all people incarcerated for narcotics crimes are....you guessed it African-American.

Some people call this a conspiracy, you want conspiracy go look at those crazy fools who deny the halocaust and say we're descendents of aliens and all that crap. Or conspiracies of the ancient secret societies running our entire world. DOCUMENTED FACTS AINT' CONSPIRACY. If you think that during the Iran-Contra fiasco the CIA wasn't complicit in the smuggling of HUNDREDS OF TONS of Cocaine in to the United States then you are.........stupid, ok I said it you're stupid because the proof is there. The George Washington University National Security Archives is constantly subpeoning(spelling?) the federal government under the FOIA to get new documents. Senator Leahy just asked for a shitload of documents relating to the torture of Iraqi Civilians
(good job Leahy, Unlike many Americans who now have been inculcated with a belief that "Justice is un-american" I think we should find the people responsible for these morally repugnant acts[and I do NOT mean the soldiers I mean the people at the top who commanded it, all soldiers CAN do is follow orders they have their psyches broken down so all they CAN do is follow orders, they have been following orders and they are also victims because it is psychologically impossible not to have mental problems after you have sodomized civilian children {on videotape: http://www.pastpeak.com/archives/2004/07/post_1.htm}, raped women http://www.villagevoice.com/issues/0421/mondo2.php , Tore at people with dogs, froze or burned them, starved them, beat them, and the two best ones{because Rumsfeld ADMITTED to authorizing them} The Hooding and threatening that you will die if you step off the box and the tying of an individual to a flat board and submerging them underwater http://www.antiwar.com/news/?articleid=2444 . THESE LAST TWO METHODS WERE APPROVED BY RUMSFELD!!!!])

Let me run the list by you one more time:
-drug war, while smuggling drugs in to country, 74% of people incarcerated for drug crimes are Black

-Ashcroft has plans on concentration camps and how to get United States citizens in to them.

-Oil is about to run out so we are killing and torturing massive amounts of human beings in other countries for this finite resource.

-Freedom of Speech no longer exists in this country instead we have special barbed wire fenced in "free speech zones" and these are the places where it is OK to peacefully assemble.

-Freedom of religion has been diminished by the ongoing PR war against Muslims and the constant references to Bush's christian god. We are fighting a war for Born Again Christians, if you are not one of these hard-core evangelist christians or not a christian at all then how are these policies just???

-More and more of our taxpayer money is being cut from social issues and goes to one of two places: The military industrial complex to run the "war on terrorism" or the Prison industrial complex and law enforcement to run "the war on drugs" (also known as the "war on personal freedoms")

-So why are we giving our money to torture and kill innocents in Iraq, as well as put in cages our freinds and family (specifically the young and minorities) for victimless crimes. The answer is money, I ain't no communist so fuck off stupid neo-cons. I know thats what you're thinking if you've been conditioned by the right, but don't start coming with the same old republican attacks on any type of change by condemning it as communist. This has nothing to do with that argument. The point is simple: The Military and Prison industrial complexes are operated at a loss to provide us with great potential to commit evil. SLASH FUNDING!!(and I do not mean privatize prisons, people who make profit off of putting humans in cages are morally repugnant) I mean actually slash funding you can take 2 moves that would free up massive law enforcement funding: End the war on personal freedoms and the death penalty, these policies are far more expensive than the alternative(which is to not have either of them).
These tax-cut and spend conservatives and their "want to embolden the myth of 'being hard on crime'" freinds on the liberal end are both dumb asses, and don't ever let one side convince you that the other side spends or saves more. THE ONLY THING THAT HAS BEEN SHOWN TO SUSTAINABLY REDUCE CRIME IS A STRONG ECONOMY. We need to reduce defense spending, reduce law enforcement spending, legalize narcotics(which would destroy all gangs currently formed around the sale of narcotics), and stop playing world government(thats the UN's job to enforce the WMD treaties). This will leave tons of money for: treatment of addicts, drug education, prosecution of crimes that have a victim, and education(which is what our government SHOULD be spending the vast majority of its' money in, imagine a world where instead of dropping 100,000 bombs on Iraq, we only drop 98,000 and those other 2,000 instead of being made fund every inner-city school's art and music departments that got slashed (by people claming shrinking government is a higher ideal than education). It really isn't hard, unless the government is occupied by two parties and both are jingoists.

So whats the answer?
The constitution is our social contract. The theory behind a social contract is that when certain individuals start violating our constitution and the supreme court has been so co-opted it does not stop such obvious abrogations, then the social force of "the people" will reclaim their power and individual rights. This is what people call a revolution, the problem with the social contract is the only true motivation in the past for revolution has always been.....money. Essentially meaning that the middle class must be destroyed through a widening income gap, before any revolutionary action will ever occur. The US took this a step farther with a very powerful mass media that will always actively work against such an idea as "the people" reclaming the rights gauranteed to them by the constitution and declaration of independence. This means a massive movement has even less probability. So democracy was intended as the government that would make revolution obsolete, because of constant peaceful revolutions. Things like COINTELPRO destroyed these ideals our democracy has been hijacked by malevolent demagogues. They stand to benefit greatly from 9/11 and will be using it for sympathy in the next week. I am finding myself losing my opposition to the death penalty, becuase individuals who OKed the torture at Abu Ghraib should be given a trial(by a military tribunal in either an Ad-hoc world court or the International Court of Justice or the UN floor) and then executed if guilty. The crime of murder is much worse if our entire country funded it, OKed it, and then sat by and did nothing as we say what played out. YOU THINK ANYONE IN THIS WORLD GIVES A SHIT ABOUT 9/11 BESIDES AMERICA NOW!!!!?????? AMERICANS WATCHED THE BODIES BURIED IN DASHT LEILE, ALMOST THE SAME AMOUNT AS THE PEOPLE KILLED ON 9/11 WHAT PEOPLE CARE ABOUT IS THE UNITED STATES UNILATERALLY TAKING OVER A COUNTRY AND SYSTEMATICALLY TORTURING ITS' CITIZENS WE CANNOT FIGHT TERROR WITH TERROR! Or maybe real justice would be taking all the members of the administration that OKed these tactics and having dogs tear them apart, drown them, electrocute them, smear them with feces, rape their wives, sodomize their children, freeze them, burn them, starve them, and then finally dress them in military fatigues(without flak jacket of course, remember america doesn't care if the people dying for it are properly armored) and march their asses out in to the streets of Fallujah THAT WOULD BE A FITTING PUNISHMENT!

"Why do you hate america?" -Unwitting Imperialist
I don't hate America, I hate people who take the Idea of america(Codified in the Constitution and the Declaration of Indpendence) and shit on it. They shit on it and then drag it through even more shit, they fly to Eurasia to drag it through shit, they use it to justify the 20,000+ wounded in Iraq, the soon to be 1000 person death toll in iraq. What pisses me off more than people who accuse real patriots of being un-american, is when they hide behind the flag themselves. The united states constitution has never stood for colonialism or mercantilism or torture. These are the actions we take though. So to the people who call me anti-american because I am opposed to torture, to you sir or maam I say you are pro-torture so fuck off and stop hiding behind my flag. If you still think 9/11 had anything to do with Iraq then you're an idiot. If you think Afghanistan didn't have anything to do with Unocal you are also an idiot. If you think al-qaida just materialized out of thin air, and wasn't created by our funding and weapons when it was the mujahaden(Reagan's much ballyhooed 'freedom fighters')then you're ignorant. If you don't care that there is no actual point in time which we will definitively actually "win" the occupation of Iraq then you're a facist. If you think calling our country on its' evils is "anti-american" you are the anti-democracy and if the rest of america is like you, then democracy has already failed.

So now what?

We all sit in our respective homes, dutifully watching TV so we'll know what to buy when we get our next paycheck, pretending we live in a democracy but not actually voicing opinion instead shutting all voices of dissent down, bowing down to the flag which George Bush Jr. hides behind and uses for malevolent purpose, and we all embrace complacency.

"Our forefathers would think it's time for a revolution. This is why they revolted in the first place." Says Paul with a laugh, "They revolted against much more mild oppression." -Republican Ron Paul, talking about the Patriot act (thats right.....republican)

Democracy is the only form of government that has a chance of satisfying the right of self-determination. Democracy is also just a word, we need to be able to recognize when democracy has fully been co-opted by an oligarchic or facist power. We the people of the United States may have to forcefully take our democracy back if they start to herd us in to Ashcroft's camps and continue the erosion of our individual liberties.
Our greatest check on tyrannical power is set to go forth in November. We have all heard that this administration obviously has plans to halt the election, if they do I think we may have to react if we want to save the country we love.

-Jimothy J. Jones
(To all you haters, I do not advocate violence in any form, unless in self-defense, I am not seditious for the sake of being seditious, our forefathers gave us the duty to be vigilant over democracy, I am just one voice there are many others[maybe you agree that indefinite global warfare and systematic torture are the result of a fully functioning democratic system] we have to speak up though. The fundamental basis of democracy is that people speak up for their views, by looking through history we can establish empirical evidence, the illiterate hicks and the conservatives (who specialize in Ayn Rand type intellectual justifications of greed) that call us anti-american, these are the individuals who threaten our democracy. NEVER SILENCE DISSENT!!!
Even if they're wackos, idiots, and obviously wrong like those fuckers that don't belive in the halocaust or believe aliens control us, they're still humans that are gauranteed the right to an opinion. Don't just turn your back though, give them the facts, knowledge is power.

Marketing....or Politics?

Well I was watching Fox news for a laugh humming "Believe it or not iiiiiiii'm walkin on air.........believe it or not its just meeeee" thinking about President Bush in his flightsuit. Then here comes footage of Bush campaigning on the taxpayer's dime(because Enron is in shambles). The *raise two fingers on each hand*"Journalist" was saying "President Bush has said that he will fight for truth, justice, and the American way." My freind turns to me and says "Its like hes a superhero or something." Thats right no substance Truth. Justice. The American Way. This does not mean anything, these are the three symbols this man has chosen to hide behind.
Don't get me wrong Democrats do the same damn thing, its just that well...Karl Rove seriously pushes the envelope. The flightsuit thing was so weird and then Murdoch's New York Post is printing pictures of Kerry in some kind of weird safety suit and compare it to Dukakis in a tank. The only real comparison to Dukakis in a tank is Bush's crazy flightsuit thing.

This also comes to mind because I saw Sean Hannity at the DNC calling the whole thing propaganda and Public relations ploys. I was always thinking about the Newspeak and how the ruling class always says the opposite of whatever its doing if its bad and always accuses the opposition of being guilty of its' own bullshit. So maybe we looked at this from ideological distant viewpoints and ended up with the reverse impression which is hilarious, but seriously the Karl Rove argument from before....... that trumps just about all you got Hannity(See book: "Bush's Brain"). I mean seriously.....Karl Rove is a really dirty manipulator.

Ok so theres this thing called freedom of speech, without it democracy can't work. The problem is social psychology has advanced to the point that marketing has become an effort at mind control(to a degree). Which can only mean that this trend will most likely continue. We have to beware of certain social psychology ploys, so that we can build an aversion to mind control. This is important, because as the reality around us is converted to billboard space, we will need focus our minds to retain sanity. It reminds me of this Philip K. Dick short story called "Sales Pitch". This person in the not so distant future is depressed and losing touch with reality, because of the bombardment of advertisements. The final straw comes when a servant robot comes to their house, the robots job is to sell itself for use. The protaganist is very similar to most of Dick's other protagonists, just a guy trying to get by, but riding a wave of confluent forces. This archetype is simliar to the Western democratic citizen. We are told we have so much freedom and this belief makes it harder for us to understand that we may be capable of evil.
I saw "Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's war on journalism" an amazing movie. You know those liberals and their complaining about fighting a war under false pretenses(wake up supporters of imperalism). I recalled O'Reilly comparing Michael Moore to Goebells(spelling?). That is the exact newspeak i'm talking about. A man that advocated the death of all Iraqi citizens(in a show calling them savages and suggesting we level the whole country with bombs) and insists on portraying himself as a patriot while brainwashing our country in to sending their children to die for a "yet to be named" cause.
Ok here is a play 1 act.
Starring: Unwitting Imperialist and Jaded Cynic
JC: so why did we go to war with Iraq?>
UI: Weapons of mass destruction of course. we couldn't wait for "the smoking gun to come in the form of a mushroom cloud."

Jc: So we didn't find those WMDs. Why did we go to war with Iraq now?
UI: To remove a brutal dictator of course. He used chemical weapons on his own people!
Jc: Didn't the US provide him with the equiptment to manufacture chemical weapons? Didn't the US support Saddam before and after he used those chemical weapons? In fact didn't we send Rumsfeld over and he shook hands with the asshole?
UI: He went over there to decry Saddam's use of chemical weapons, to insinuate it had anything to do with trade and realpolitik is preposterous.
Jc: Ok so even if the United States didn't put Saddam in power, ever since he was first hired as an assassin and he couldnt' even hit the right guy and killed the driver all the way up until the point he invaded Kuwait and offered the US a share of the booty. Lets say hypothetically he wasn't even put in power by Reagan/Bush 41 and the Rumsfeld/Cheney/Kissinger crowd. Alright there are many other problems in the world why Iraq?
UI: He was BRUTAL DICTATOR! We had to remove him!
JC: SO WHY ARE WE STILL THERE!!!!????
UI: Well.......thats because there has been a vacuum of power created and to leave now would mean more deaths in the future.

Jc: So you're telling me we had to go in there because he was a direct threat to us.........but we can't leave because taking him out of power creatd a direct threat to us!!!????

UI: No, no, its not our fault, just like the chemical weapons and our support for the perpetuation and escalation of the Iran-Iraq war. ........................................................................................................................Wait we did do all this shit didn't we? This is the most combat deaths since Vietnam isn't it? Why are we still there???

Jc: was there ever an exit strategy???
UI: We have to leave when democracy is put in place.
JC: So as we use a totalitarian military state to impose democracy. As we stay in Iraq because taking the man out of power that was the reason for the attack creates a larger threat than was there orginally. In order to have our freedoms we must begin to give them up(indefinite detentions, patriot act, "free-speech zones", and right to equal representation). We are on opposite ideological ends, because you can either believe the language or you can question it.
Did you truly believe that Iran, Iraq, and North Korea posed such a unique(compared to the many years before) and imminent threat that Bush had to mention these individuals in his state of the union address as 'the axis of evil' ??

UI: No I think anyone would have seen that as a little overboard. A three front war!! hahah wow no one could eve win that.
JC: What do you call Afghanistan, Iraq, and now the cause ramping up war for Iran?
UI: I've read in the newspaper articles that put the phrase 9/11 and juxtapose it alongside Iran, pure and simple manipulative psychological propaganda. You will forget where you heard the information from, but you will recall 9/11 and Iran in the same thought process as you think about recent articles containing either one of these subject matters.
JC: So essentially we're on the same side here, because Bush wants to reinstate the draft in 2005 and take us to war with Iran?
UI: Yah you think I was gonna vote for the guy who will kill me? ahahah, no no I just think Iraq was a good idea.

Ok so that was weak but i'm gonna post it anyway, because i'm tired. No more complacence and our problems will be solved. Let people know you are liberal and a democrat, the contemporary pop culture is similar to the red scare, artists who speak out are blacklisted and the character assasination by Rupert Murdoch's bitches begins. As much as Republicans want to we cannot return to Plessy v. Ferguson(sorry trent, strom, and helms, but Jim brown shoulda handled your ancestors). We cannot return to 1953 Nixon is dead and good riddance, Reagan is dead, but the assholes behind Iran-Contra are still in the Bush administration. I hope to see justice done in my lifetime.
Just think: Bush's actions are from a man who pretends to believe he will be eternally punished for using his life to enact evil. How can he believe that and at the same time indiscriminately kill civilians with bombs(the same way those assholes did us on 9/11) and send so many American soldiers either to death............. or insanity, because of ordering them to torture and rape other human beings.

We all should have took a step back on 9/12 and realized how much it hurts our nation to see so many civilians killed in an indiscriminate fashion. We then could have built a consensus to structure our foreign policy around helping developing nations rather than bombing their civilians or funding coups and death squads. The only way out of the path we have taken may be a drastic change.
Our Forefathers bestowed a duty upon us.
We are to protect the republic through force if neccesary.
If the government becomes tyrannical we are bound by our duty for country to revolt.
The trend of centralizing power within the executive branch and unilateral foreign policy is facist in nature. The use of nationalist symbols to bring about cognitive dissonance in the general public. We are being lulled in to a false sense of complacency while world war three is starting.
All Muslims and All Christians are my brothers and sisters, people of all religions and people of no religions. There is no need for us to fight a global crusade for Britain's three Cs: Commerce, Civilization, and Christianity.
If we help their countries develop their populace will become educated and will learn that democracy is a form of government that is meant to check oppression. The only way we can provide this example is if we set ourselves on the path towards demoracy.

The conservatives of this country were more shocked by Michael Moore portraying the administration in a negative light than by our country committing horrible violations of the geneva conventions in Abu Ghraib. RUMSFELD ADMITTED TO CERTAIN FORMS OF TORTURE WHICH EXPLICITLY VIOLATE THE GENEVA CONVENTIONS!!!! I love my country but at this point in time I hate my government. If the government were to dissolve tomorrow I would celebrate for my brothers and sisters being tortured and raped in Abu Ghraib. I would celebrate for the individuals incarcerated for victimless crimes just to drive the incarceration rate to feed the prison industrial complex.

How did we let this happen?

There is a video of male soldiers of the United States Military raping young boys in the Abu Ghraib prison.
This is a link to a transcript of the Speech given to the ACLU by Seymour Hersh, who is trying to spread the truth:

New Yorker journalist Seymour Hersh the same individual that brought the truth of the My Lai massacre to the public has let the public know the truth again. The original torture story which had been a story since the red cross recognized the brutal tactics being used, but was not even TALKED about by the mainstream media until the New Yorker broke the story.

This is the most disgusting display of brutishness that we could possibly perpetuate upon innocent children. THIS IS A DEMOCRACY WE ARE ALL GUILTY FOR THE RAPE OF CHILDREN. When shit like this happens we need to step back and think about what THE FUCK WE"RE DOING IN IRAQ!!!!!!!

Think about this: so the CIA gets orders from the pentagon and defense department to obtain intelligence, because the soldiers don't know who the hell they're fighting(because there is no uniform for a guerilla/terrorist insurgency). So soldiers begin interrogation and CIA officers who are known to have been at the scene at Abu Ghraib and are pointed out in photos taken of the toture. Some sick individual somewhere in the chain of command had the idea to rape children for the safety of democracy.

These actions cannot be justified, the hiding behind the flag does not work when tactics such as this are used. The people of the United States will see straight through the red, white, and blue disguise. Anyone who truly believes in our constitution and the theory of democracy itself as the only rational governmental form of the right to self-determination need to step forward. Email your 2 senators and your representative let them know that you are against the raping of children and therefore want our country to leave the sovereign nation of Iraq THE HELL ALONE IMMEDIATELY!!!!

Your government's military raped children and video taped it

Your Leadership of the executive branch is trying to suppress the release of this video.

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Rice, and Powell must be brought to trial for their war crimes. THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS OPENLY FLOUTED THE GENEVA CONVENTIONS!
Sorry for the caps. I am just enraged by the fact that I stood by and did nothing as my country raped children, RAPED CHILDREN AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO UNLESS WE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!!

No American would vote for the rape of children, WE MUST FIND THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE AND MAKE SURE THEY WILL NEVER OBTAIN A POSITION OF POWER IN WHICH THEY CAN PERPETUATE BLATANTLY EVIL ACTIONS SUCH AS THIS.

I am a post-modernist I don't believe in universal truth, but it does not get more obviously evil than the rape of children.

This is not just one child either, THIS IS SYSTEMATIC!!!!  As the military continues to pretend it is doing something to the next ranking officer and as the yes men climb the hierarchy it reaches George Bush Jr. Himself.
The military has to fight against an enemy who does not wear a uniform or fight on a battlefield, this enemy acts and looks exactly the same as the people we are trying to protect.
It would be completely naive to believe that this prison is not populated densely(if they don't' comprise the majority) by innocent Muslims, whose only crime was being born in a different part of the world than you or I.

We can find solace in the fact that the mainstream media cannot ignore this forever. If they do then history books will pick up on it. WE NEED TO MAKE A CONSCIOUS EFFORT TO MOVE AS A NATION AWAY FROM THE PRECEDENT THE IRAQ WAR HAS SET.

Public relations disinformation campaigns, intelligence agency group-think, followed by pre-emptive military action, then systematic torture and rape, and finally endless troop presence(that's right Wolfowitz said we could be there until 2010).

I am not a believer in an omnipotent, omniscient, infallible, and infinite entity; but for those of you that do, you should start praying for your and your neighbor's soul, because we just sold it for a few dollars saved at the pump and replaced it with anti-Muslim fervor.

YOUR GOVERNMENT'S MILITARY IS SYSTEMATICALLY RAPING CHILDREN IN IRAQ

There has to be some good left in our country, please help stop this blatantly evil action.

Probably no one will even read this, but for that one person that does, make sure you tell your friends and family what is being done in our name in Iraq.
